Miracle at Vistula (Cud nad Wisłą)

15th August is The Anniwersary The Battle of The Polish-Soviet War of 1919-1921. Poland won, on the other side The Bolshevism would spread in the all Europe. Nobody in Europe reminds it, only Polish media. This day is The national holiday of Polish army.

Jaroslav,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Does the Church consider this a miracle? I think I've heard about it before as being a miracle.

The miracle at Vistula on Polish "Cud nad Wisla" is a historical term I think, it has nothing to do with the Church investigation. It is a very delicate political thema in Poland, special for politics but not for the Church. And your comment Amy /21/8/05 in this date- is the sad anniversary of Soviet occupation our country- with other 4 communist countries (East German, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria) It has changed our political system to terrible totalitarism -the worse in the East block. Thx. Anna for your comment and the visities of my blog.

Good stuff, Jaroslav. I have heard Catholic friends talk about various battles as "miracles" when the tide turned and suddenly the "good guys" began to win with no real reason except that they had been praying. I'll find some examples and post them here!
